The Norse Berserker
From the cold and unfriendly land of Norska come the brutally strong and dangerous Berserkers. The race of the Norse has always preferred strength to wit and the most respected individuals of each tribe have always been the mightiest. In battle these powerful men would loose all control and become possessed by a furious frenzy, much to the admiration of the other members of the tribe. Such awesome characters are the Berserkers, furious fighters with an unmatched physical strength but somewhat careless in defense. Special Rules Berserker: The Berserker (as the name suggests) is a furious fighter that may choose to go berserk in combat. When doing so he must always attack the closest opponent and receives one free attack while doing so. He also suffers a penalty of -2 to his DS (bringing it down to 5). Profession bonuses: Berserkers are immensely strong men used to wrestle and use their bare hands to crush through their opponents. For this reason they are at +1dd when unarmed. Norse: The Berserker is a Norse and follows the rules for Charge and throw: All Norse are can use a thrown weapon (axe, spear...) in combination with a charge attack. This means that they can throw the weapon (applying a -1 to hit penalty), charge and attack (at +1 to hit due to the charge!) all in the same turn! Equipment: The Berserker may use any close combat weapon and wear any helm and body armour (no shields) except for iron plate mail as they cramp his extravagant battle style. No bows, crossbows or gunfire weapons may be used, only thrown ranged weapons. |
